Last night we hosted our amazing 40th anniversary party at The Regent Lofts and Penthouses, the space that holds the Browns exhibition; ‘Browns: 40 Years of Fashion Innovation.’ This free exhibition (open now) showcases fashion innovation in London over the last four decades through the eyes of Browns, centering on the stores’ recognition for discovering ‘new talent’ alongside portraits of browns friends by Paolo Roversi.
The evening started with a champagne reception for 80 VIP guests, which read like a who's who in fashion including international designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Giambattista Valli and Rosita and Angela Missoni, ambassadors - Eva Herzigova and Yasmin Le Bon and more - and friends who were all treated to Perrier Jouet, in the surrounds of the exhibition. This was followed by a 3 course meal, courtesy of Hix, London’s top restaurant from award-winning chef Mark Hix, in the penthouse of The Regent Lofts and Penthouses.
During the dinner a cocktail reception was held for the remaining guests who were treated to Apple Mojitos and Gooseberry Bellini’s courtesy of Beefeater 24 and delicious canapés, courgette with Birkswell, cured beef with wild rocket and goat’s curd, scallops, jalapeno and sweet corn ceviche, from Hix
All the guests were later entertained by pioneering DJ Greg Wilson, (he was one of the first DJs in the UK to mix two records together). He played brilliant 80s Disco that got everyone on their feet till the early hours. A fitting end to a great celebratory night.
everyone is dressed really well
