Blogger Style Series: Susie Bubble

Bringing our series of style sessions to a close is Susie Lau, or should I say Susie Bubble, the well-known blogger. Giving her spin on style, the fashion writer will be on hand to lend her sartorial expertise and simply playing in our dressing up box.

Come to our South Molton street store on Thursday 9th June 3pm – 7pm and Saturday 11th June 2pm – 6pm to meet your favourite blogger.

Club Monaco & Browns: why does this make you happy?

Because it's unexpected yet works extremely well as a shop-in-shop concept!

How would you define your personal style?

Eclectic, experimental and a bit jumbled up!

How influential are bloggers today?

They're really now integrated as part of the fashion media landscape alongside magazines and fashion websites. I think that the new generation of fashion consumers will be looking at a blend of the three to really get their fashion inspiration as well as information.

What is the essence of personal style?

Something that you can call your own - a certain signature, a way of wearing things that is distinctive to you.

With the up surge in blogs, how do you remain individual?

I just try and focus on finding original content by seeking out things that people may not have covered beforehand...

What has been the highlight of your career?

Meeting people through blogging that I can now call my best friends.

What pieces do you most love in the Club Monaco collection?

I like the feminine white peasant blouses and camis as well as the tiered lace skirt. I've just come back from a very very hot climate so anything that is made out of natural fibres, in light-reflecting white and are shapes that allow the body to breathe, is looking very appealing.
