Hello everyone! My name is Angie Smith, I’m a celebrity stylist, a fashion blogger (angiesmithstyle.com) and Twitter addict (@angiesmithstyle). I’m honoured to have been asked to take over the Browns blog for the rest of this week. I think we’ll have a great few days together!
To kick things off, I thought I’d share my favourite shows from NYFW and in particular, the looks I can’t wait to see on the red carpet soon (…which makes my job as the stylist who’ll be dressing my clients in them even better!).
Stay tuned for my posts this week, giving you as much insight and behind the scenes action as I can into my world of celebrity styling. But first, New York…
Inspired by Helmut Newton’s Retrospective and a collaboration with La Perla, Jason Wu gave us a show that not only exemplified his gift of creating a red carpet-ready collection but also delivered a sexed-up one at that. I’ve picked out three shining examples from the show, any of which would sit beautifully on model-turned-actress, Diane Kruger.
Suno is famous for its mismatch of pretty florals and this collection didn’t disappoint. For the first time, the design duo showed a handful of more refined eveningwear looks that will doubtless make an appearance at this season’s hottest premieres and awards ceremonies. A truly beautiful look that suits a fresh face such as Chloë Moretz, don’t you think?
A label to watch from design duo Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason. I love the shape created by the over sized tee layered on top of a collared skater dress and the 60’s inspired shorts and shirt, not to mention the super happy colour palette, this would be spot on for Lana Del Ray or Alexa Chung.
