Spring is yet to have sprung, but that hasn't stopped us getting excited for the most floral of all the seasons with our SS13 windows.
Created by long-time Browns friends Philip Cooper and Ivana Nohel, the foundation of the design is Chintz made slightly surreal by manipulating scale and enlarging elements of a floral pattern. The delicate flowers have been cut-out and mounted onto industrial springs, thus creating subtle movement.
"We were once more privileged to work with Art Director, Philip Cooper who has designed an extraordinary window concept for Browns. Playing with the word ‘Spring’ he has created a beautiful, yet surreal theme that runs throughout the store windows." Joanna Galanis -Visual Merchandising Manager
Continuing their reign of working with young designers, Browns Focus has enlisted the talent of Christianna Economou to help design the SS13 windows. A 2nd year Fine Art student at Central St. Martins, Economou has exhibited her work in various galleries and has sold her pieces to art collectors, in both Athens and London. The installation behind the Focus windows has a historical background and is based on memories, loss, abandonment, old traditions and the past. She uses a mixed media-based process and creates unique pieces of art, experimenting with unexpected combinations of materials.
